Ever wonder why people buy things?
It’s pretty simple, actually. You can narrow it down to 10 things.
Once you understand this, you can leverage it to craft new marketing messages and sell more.
Take a look at the infographic below.
How To Use The 10 Reasons People Buy
Here’s how it works:
Take your product or service, and match it up with any of the 10 buying reasons.
For example, say you sell digital marketing services.
First, pick a few different buying motivations from the list. Then, create stories around how your digital marketing could fulfill each buying motivation.
It might look something like this:
* Avoid effort- “We do the marketing for you so you have more time to work on your business.”
* Save Money- “Our marketing services will lower your customer acquisition costs or we’ll refund your money.”
Can you identify motivations that aren’t being addressed in your market? If so, these are OPPORTUNITY (unique angle) areas. Test these angles and see what clicks.
Going through this exercise will also help you develop fresh marketing messages around what you do.
